Laura Trentman - Kiss Me That Way

A river divides Cottonbloom in two: the upscale enclave on the Mississippi side and the rundown, rough and tumble side in Louisiana. They’re worlds apart—but nothing can build a bridge like love…

Cade Fournette never had it easy Cottonbloom. He stuck around long enough to raise his orphaned siblings and then hightailed it out West—and never looked back. Even though he’s made a success of himself in Seattle, Cade never lost the toughness and the angry edge that helped him survive down South. His only weak spot: the girl he left behind…

Monroe Kirby came from the wealthy side of town, but that didn’t protect her from her mother’s drinking—or her mother’s boyfriend. It was Cade who did that, on a long-ago hot September night, before he disappeared…along with a piece of her heart. Now Monroe is a physical therapist who can fight for herself, and it’s Cade who could use some conditioning when he makes an unexpected return back home. Will he and Monroe pick up where they left off and finally explore their mutual passion—or will the scars and secrets of the past divide them once more?

I love books like Kiss Me That Way. Why? Because simply put, I wasn’t expecting the read I got.

I loved it and easily got completely engrossed with it and all the characters, goodies and baddies.

Laura Trentham was an unknown author to me (I know the shock! ☺ ) but wow, she just blew me away with a book that gave me everything I want while escaping with a great book.

I got the feels, I got the visuals, I got the whole shebang surrounding the two sides of Cottonbloom and I got a heady dose of great characters and got a really fab romance read.

Two sides, sides that are complete opposites, swamp rats and rich people live their lives divided by the river. The prejudices of the elite frowning upon the poor, the often spangled lives of the rich proving that money can’t buy you love nor happiness.

A brilliant read that I’m so pleased I got to try and Laura is absolutely on my radar from now on and I can’t wait to dive into the next installment from Cottonbloom town.

I received a copy of this book via Netgalley to review, and honestly to all romantics at heart, you will love this book, even for those that like their romance hot, Laura even brings that too, but in this case I love it’s the story first and hot romance as a tasty side serving. Kiss Me That Way is a sweet romance with sass, I loved it all. ♥

Laura TrenthamLaura Trentham was born and raised in a small town in Northwest Tennessee. Although, she loved English and reading in high school, she majored in Chemical Engineering (in order to avoid becoming a starving artist!) and worked in a hard hat and steel toed boots for several years.

Now living in South Carolina with her husband and two children, she writes historical and contemporary romances that are a little dark, a little funny, and a whole lot of sexy.

Her first two books in the Regency romance series SPIES AND LOVERS were 2014 Golden Heart ® finalists and will be released in 2015 as AN INDECENT INVITATION and A BRAZEN BARGAIN.

SLOW AND STEADY RUSH is her debut novel and the first book in her FALCON FOOTBALL SERIES. Look for CAUGHT UP IN YOUR TOUCH and MELT INTO YOU later in 2015. You don’t have to enjoy football to read them, you only have to love smoking hot football coaches and the sassy Southern women who tame them.
