Eternity Rivera had a fairy tale life until one fateful night intruders stormed her home, destroying it and her parents in their passing, leaving her and her baby sister behind. With the help of her uncle, she soon learns that life moves on, until a monster comes lurking into her room at night. When she finally makes the decision to change her life for the better, Eternity is hit with another life-altering blow. Sometimes life is cruel and unkind and kicks you up the arse, leading you down a dark path you want nothing to do with. Sometimes we don’t have a choice.
Ryke Justice has lived his life in purgatory for the last ten years, but to him, it’s just another day in the office. They don’t call him Justice for no reason; you mess with the boss and you’re messing with him. Justice will come and you won’t even be expecting it. That is until an Angel finally turns his head and becomes the envy of every girl there. She ignites his desires, stirring his black soul back to life, but is she strong enough to withstand his monster?
Can Eternity save Justice from himself? Can Ryke finally give into his deepest darkest desires? Has his monster finally met his mate?
Choices will be made, Justice will be served, and things are about to get hot. It’s time to go to the dark side.
Welcome to Illicit Angels.
Warning! This book isn’t your typical romance. It’s dark, dirty, and dangerous. This series contains dark subject matter, including sexual abuse, kidnapping, torture, rape and murder. 18+ only.
This story is part of a six part series, each approx. 50-60k words in length.
Walking into my room, I find Envy sleeping in my bed, still bound. She looks like a goddess in sleeping. And there it is again. Time. I don’t have time for anything. I can’t plan anything in this life. There is no time for killers. We live our lives on borrowed time. The minute I gave myself over to the beast and embraced my inner savage, I gave up the rights to live a normal life. Envy deserves a normal life. Seeing her
look so peaceful gives me a sense of peace, but that’s just stolen time. I can never give her what she wants or needs. But I’m going to take it.I’m going to take her. She’s mine.Call me a selfish bastard. I don’t give a fuck. For the second time in my shit life, I’ve found peace again. Forgive me for wanting to keep that. I know it’s wrong and it’s twisted. But she’s mine.I won’t let her go.
Envy jumps when I nudge her foot, sitting upright in an instant. She glowers at me. “A sock. Really? Untie me,” she demands. I quickly unknot the sock and throw it to the floor. I drop my purchases onto the bed and nod my head at them. Her eyes stay trained on me, and she doesn’t move. I nod my head at them again and throw her a grunt. Folding her arms, she raises a brow in question and still refuses to open the bags. All she did was draw my attention to her tits pushed against her arms. She may be my peace, but she also gives my beast all the power. When I’ve fucked a woman in the past, it’s been for me. The beast hasn’t found any pleasure. With Envy, he roars to mate; he prowls and puffs out his chest, trying to impress her. My beast wants her, but I can’t give him that control yet. I need to know she’s strong enough. I can’t speak to her in this state. If I do, then she will know how much I’m holding myself back. My cock is throbbing, desperate to be deep inside her. I want to fill her until she can’t be without me. I want her to breathe for me. When I accept her peace, I give up control of everything else. The beast could spring.
Michelle’s Review ♥♥♥♥♥ Delicious Illicit hearts.
Yay another great dark read! That hit the spot for all the wrongs you don’t want to admit to liking but indeed love.
Dark reads are like the ‘forbidden’ you feel a bit damned if you do love them and oh boy I love them, so damn me to hell and back. I love to read the unreadable, the unthinkable and the downright mess with your head. If they have that slither of redemption, doesn’t have to be much but just that little inkling of rhyme and reason then oh boy watch out. Illicit Angels has that slither, Justice is the dark and Ryke and is the slither of light.
What Eternity aka Envy has to endure is downright horrible, there’s a couple of scenes in this book that has you close to chucking the book down in a red haze, the bit just after the start, what happens to her then, nope, that did not meld with me at all. If there is one bit in this book that I cannot gel with it’s definitely that. My head could not justify it or give it ‘reason’ to be there. But I got past it and boy I’m glad I did, also because I’m twisted in the head and I HAVE to know what comes next, the story then ramps up a gear and she becomes an Angel.
The characters then hit you in the face. They are despicable but some have an air of doing right. Your whole brain pretty much forgets that hell, they are all WRONG, doing what they are doing but you in this bubble of false security as you continue to read on.
Then a scene that comes next is just WOW, powerful indeed. Brilliantly written and as much as you HATE reading it, it needs to be there. It festered in my head and I wanted to know of course what Justice would do.
Fast paced read as such, I read it in one sitting very late at night, well actually from midnight onwards, I couldn’t put it down. I definitely wanted to chuck the kindle at the end, I cannot wait to read Brutal Submission, I hope to god the wait is not long. I think this book could have been written as one book, but that’s my opinion. Certainly suspense wise and what comes next will definitely have you wanting to reach out to book two. I hope (because I’m selfish that it finished for Eternity in book 2, we shall see.)
I received a copy of Illicit Angels in return for an honest review and I bloody loved it even the bits I found hard. My reviews are my own and are 100% honest.
